Went to the Orange County Fair yesterday. Peyton had fun on the kiddie rides. Nice sunny day as usual, and it was nice for Trav to take a break from the house!

More pictures of the house! Fireplaces are in, and the siding is going up. Trav purchased shingles for the outside. I think they look nice. We still haven't decided on a color for the outside paint yet. Plumbing is almost complete, and Trav is starting on the electrical.

Happy 4th of July!!! We spent the morning at the beach before it got REALLY crowded. People were saving spots already for tonight's fireworks. It's very hot again, but hopefully it will cool off by tonight.

Went to the summer concert series last night in the village. "The Answer" played and ROCKED as usual!! Love those guys. Peyton had a blast, she's a little party animal, we couldn't keep her off the dance floor.

Disneyland was great! VERY HOT day though, and crowded. The kids got on most of the rides they wanted which was great. Peyton got to meet Ariel which was the highlight of her day!

More pics from Legoland! I especially like the one with Peyton and the weird, old, legoman, lol.

Here are some pics of Legoland, and a "proud mama" story. Peyton and I stood in line for her to ride the lego-built horses. Basically, it's little horses that "bob" up and down on a track. Very non-threatening! Anyways, she was so excited, and kept saying "I want to ride on the blue horse", or "the pink one". We waited almost 30 minutes, only to get to the front and have the man "rudely" tell her she was too short. You have to be 36" and she was 35 1/2"! Yup, poor little thing!!! I was so heart-broken for her. She was such a good sport though, no tears at all! Thank goodness there were other places for her to have fun! BTW, she did measure 36" on some of the other rides at Legoland. Guess, legoland needs some new rulers.

Trav and Al took a break from electrical and plumbing to go to Seaworld and Legoland. We had a great time at both! We have been to Seaworld a few times now, but had always missed the Shamu Rocks show at night. It's definitely worth seeing!! We loved it. These are some pics from the nighttime show.

We took the kiddos to the Big Bear Zoo, which is actually a great place to visit. They are relocating the zoo to a much larger facility in the next coupe of years so the animals will have a lot more room.

Okay, busy, busy with company so I'm behind on my posts!! We came home from Knotts Berry Farm to discover that a "bat" had been found in the house. Yup, so gross! Trav and Al managed to catch it and get it outside. The kids, of course, were fascinated. Now, I just had Mame and Max declawed last week and the vet had updated their rabies vaccines for just that reason. Owners came home to find their precious kitties playing with bats!! I knew we had squirrels and coyotes up here, but bats? Ick.
